A native speaker of English and French, I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2001, with a degree in Spanish and French. From 2005 to 2012, I worked in various language-related fields, from teaching languages to adults to translating for a variety of clients, from Tearfund, a Christian international development charity/non profit, to Deutsche Bank.

Since 2012, I have been studying for an MFA in Creative Writing in the USA, mastering language in a different way. The combination of the language skills learned at Cambridge and in my subsequent jobs, and my understanding of English, both intuitive and learned through studying literature and writing and a class in poetry translation, has given me the skills necessary to pursue literary, as well as general, translation.
